SWS International Finals is coming next week!
26.6.2023, Orechová Potôň - Slovakia will get world´s attention once again. The finals of the SODI WORLD SERIES go-kart world championship is heading to Slovakia, to its largest motor sport facility, the SLOVAKIA RING. On July 5-8, the karting center of this circuit will welcome 360 drivers from over 40 countries, along with the best Slovaks.
After Italy and France, the 12th edition of the SODI W Finals will take place in Slovakia. Slovak Karting Center located at the Slovakia Ring will welcome the best of the best who will fight on nearly nearly 1,200m long track for overall victory.
There are currently 360 riders from over 40 countries registered for the race. They will compete in five categories:
- Men
- Women
- Kids
- Junior
- Endurance (12h) team race
Programme
The event starts with the first free practice sessions on Wednesday 5th, followed by a whole series of heats and qualifications. On Saturday 8th, right after 1pm, the final races will take place. Friday will be dedicated entirely to endurance 12-hour races with a start at noon and a midnight finish.
Slovaks in the finals
Several Slovaks in each category got their place in this year's finals. Men will be represented by Sebastian Pástor and Tomáš Miksa, while Stella Khurova will start in women´s category. Junior category is promising great talents, such as Juraj Mikoš, Kristian Beke, Maximilián Sovič and Simon Botha. Two Slovak teams also made it to the endurance race - Young&Wild advanced directly and Masters team got the wild card.
Motorsport.tv will broadcast live all races of the championship. Slovak sports station TV JOJ Šport will go live during Staruday finals.
