Slovak Victories at the Grand Prix of the Slovak Republic

24.8.2024 - The pinnacle event of Slovak motorsport, the OMV MaxxMotion Grand Prix of the Slovak Republic at the Slovakia Ring delivered a series of thrilling battles to thousands of spectators as part of the FIA Central European Zone Trophy, the ESET Cup Series, and national championships.

In the most popular race featuring prototypes and GT cars, Miro Konôpka took the top spot in the D5 category driving a Ligier LMP3, securing the trophy for the "Pozor, zákruta" series.

In Division 4, we witnessed a fantastic line-up of well-known Slovak motorsport names. In the GTX class, Maťo Homola won driving a KTM GTX, finishing ahead of Adam Konôpka in a Lamborghini Huracan GT3 and Štefan Rosina in a Lamborghini Super Trofeo. The GT3 class in the same race was won by Polish driver Krystian Korzeniowski in a Ferrari 296 GT3, while the GT4 trophy went to Slovak Rudolf Beňo in a BMW M4.

The late-afternoon endurance race was dominated by the ARC Bratislava team. Adam Konôpka, driving a Lamborghini Huracan GT3, secured a clear victory over the BMW M6 GT3 of the Slovak Trevor Racing team, driven by Gregor Zsigo and Dennis Waszek. Two other cars from these teams ended up colliding, involving Miro Konôpka and Antal Zsigo.
