Hill Climb Race started successfully

Orechová Potôň, April 1, 2023 – The opening event of the official Slovakian car racing championship called HILL CLIMB RACE SLOVAKIA RING successfully started in the closed area of ​​the SLOVAKIA RING circuit. As expected, Martin Juhás from the Ambruz Racing team became the fastest driver during the two races of Saturday's competition day.

A total of 44 participants signed up for the dual races of the Slovak Championship, the Slovak International Championship, the Slovak Championship of Historic Hill Climb Cars and the Slovak Hill Cup. In the end, 43 competitors, mostly from Slovakia, stood up and started.

The competition day was characterized by sunny, pleasant but windy weather. The cold asphalt and only briefly heated tires resulted in several skids or incomplete runs by individuals. They had a total of 8 rides available - 3 training and 5 competitive.

The fastest driver of the first race among all participants was Martin Juhás from the Ambruz Racing team driving formula Lola B02/50 with the unmistakable sound of the three-liter eight-cylinder. He covered the 3200m track in his second competitive race in 1 min 19.538 s. Czech Josef Hlavinka Jr. from the AACR Hlavinka Motorsport Czech team driving the Gloria C8F single-seater came second and the third place was taken by Maťo Homola from the BRP Motorsport team in his racing Hyundai i30N TCR. It was his first start in this competitive discipline. The listed order did not change even in the second race after the sum of the two fastest competition runs. The best time of the second race again belonged to Martin Juhás, who in his last run improved it by almost 2s and set a new record with a value of 1min 17.634.

Miloš Zmeškal on Ralt 032 performed best in the class of historic cars during both races, ahead of František Kmeť on Metalex MTX-1-03 and Marcel Beník on BMW 2002ti.

Within the Slovak Hill Cup, Samuel Leitman on a Seat Leon was the fastest in the overall ranking of the first race, followed by Martin Vyletelka on a Honda Civic Type-R and Adam Páleník on a Honda Civic. In the second race, Samuel Leitman on a Seat Leon was the fastest again, ahead of Michal Kríž on a Honda Civic VTi and Martin Vyletelek on a Honda Civic Type-R.

The event was also accessible to spectators with free entry to the open stands as well as to the paddock.
