Hill Climb Race will start the 15th season of the SLOVAKIA RING

Orechová Potôň, April 2nd, 2024 - The jubilee 15th year of the SLOVAKIA RING circuit will also start the jubilee fifth edition of the Slovak Hill Climb Championship (MSR PAV). The engines will rev up on April 7th.

The Hill Climb Race found its home at SLOVAKIA RING as an event of the national championship MSR PAV in the fall of 2020. The move from open roads of the Slovak forests to the mostly flat terrain of the race track was due to the anti-pandemic measures for COVID-19.

Even though 2020 may seem like ancient history, one thing certainly hasn't changed for us: MSR PAV is always welcome at the SLOVAKIA RING, offering practical facilities and professional infrastructure. Moreover, the battle against the stopwatch remains the same whether you're racing in Dobšiná or Orechová Potôň.

The Hill Climb Race SLOVAKIA RING 2024 will feature both National (MSR) and International Slovak Championships (MMSR), the Slovak Hill Climb Cup (SKP), Slovak Championship of Historic Vehicles, as well as Czech Hill Climb Championships (including Championship of historic vehicles).

The 3,400-meter track consists of a section of the circuit's race track with 16 corners. On Sunday, April 7th, competitors in different classes will start with two free practice sessions, followed by two competitive runs. In the afternoon, there will be only one practice session and two timed runs. The total times will determine the winners and losers.

Last year, Martin Juhás clinched the title of Slovak Champion, driving an unrivaled Lola B02/50, known from the F3000 series alongside Formula 1 from 2002-2004. The single seater, in its time, weighed only 545 kg (including the driver) and the three-liter atmospheric eight-cylinder Zytek-Judd V8 engine produced up to 520 horsepower.

The program on April 7th will welcome teams and spectators with the first practice session at 8:00 AM. The Race 1 follows at 10:45 AM, and the afternoon program concludes with 2nd Ride of Race 2 at 4:45 PM. Entry for spectators is free, with the access to Grandstands A/B along with paddock.
