ETRC will be supplemented by GT cars!

Orechová Potôň, May 6th, 2024 - SLOVAKIA RING will experience an unexpectedly busy schedule during the ETRC weekend on June 7-9. Together with the TCR Eastern Europe (TCR EE), we will finally see the entire constellation of vehicles and formulas of the Central European ESET CUP series.

Such a packed schedule also competes with the Grand Prix of Slovakia August, 23.-25). After all, it will involve the same cars. The ESET CUP series canceled the planned June event at the Hungaroring: the Hungarian circuit is delayed in completing large-scale renovations. In addition to the ESET CUP, the Grand Prix of Slovakia now includes a June event alongside the FIA ETRC.

What can viewers look forward to? The racing trucks of the ETRC need no special introduction to the local audience. The event is one of the most attended in our country. TCR Eastern Europe will bring the Central European elite of popular TCR touring cars, along with Slovak racer Mat'o Homola, who leads the current standings.

Viewers are familiar with the ESET CUP from the Grand Prix of Slovakia: a variety of categories and diverse racing cars, plus the Central European top racers. In addition to sprints, there are also one-hour endurance races.

The popular GT3 cars such as Porsche, Lamborghini, and Mercedes will not be missing. At a recent event in Hungary, the most famous Slovak drivers raced in the ESET CUP - Štofi Rosina, Mat'o Homola, Rišo Gonda, and Miro Konôpka. In addition to hooded cars, there are also Formula 4 single-seaters with an increasingly rich starting grid.

The accompanying races will be supplemented by the Clio Cup, extending the total number of racing series to six during the weekend, including endurance races.

The packed and exciting program of the OMV MaxxMotion GoodYear FIA ETRC Truck Race of Slovakia (June 7th-9th) will of course be complemented by plenty of entertainment for the whole family. More information can be found at www.slovakiaring.
