SLOVAKIA RING hosted the traditional Prix of Slovakia
Orechová Potôň, July 14, 2025 - Nearly two hundred racers from seven European countries took part in the 16th edition of the Prix of Slovakia, a road motorcycle championship held at the SLOVAKIA RING. The traditional event included championships from several countries, featuring vintage motorcycles as part of the international Alpe Adria Championship and the Ducati Slovakia Cup.
The racers faced two rounds - one on Saturday and another on Sunday - giving them the chance to collect a significant number of points for their respective series' standings. They took full advantage, delivering thrilling battles on the track.
In the two lowest displacement classes, 125 Sport Production and 125 GP/Moto3, the same riders won on both days: Czech rider Marek Zima and Italian Lorenzo Tiveron. In the Supersport 300 class, the Saturday and Sunday winners were Polish rider Bartosz Bambecki and Czech rider Václav Bittman. Young Slovak rider Jakub Adamik impressed with two excellent fourth-place finishes. Slovak fans had reason to cheer thanks to Boris Korčák in the 400 Supersport class. He finished second on Saturday behind Czech rider Roman Skoupý but came back on Sunday to take the win. In the Supermono class, victories were shared between Czech riders Marek Paul and Jan Huk.
Czech rider Petr Svoboda, who has previously succeeded in Supersport 300 world championship events, surprised the crowd by entering the Twin category at the Prix. He dominated Saturday’s race with a 45-second lead over Polish rider Igor Teske. Sunday’s race was more of a challenge, but Svoboda still managed to win, this time ahead of his teammate and fellow countryman Marek Červený. Červený also had a strong performance in the Supersport class, earning two second-place finishes behind Polish rider Mateusz Molik. Slovak riders Tomáš Svitok (4th and 5th place) and Ladislav Veverka (5th and 3rd place) also showed strong form.
Polish rider Milan Pawelec, who has held the motorcycle lap record at SLOVAKIA RING since last year, didn’t set a new record this time, but he still delivered a dominant performance, winning both joint races of the strongest categories - Superbike and Superstock 1000. Among Slovak riders, Tomáš Tóth was the most successful, finishing twice in the top 10. Fans were also pleased by the return of former star Vladimír Ruža.
Exciting on-track battles were also provided by competitors in various old-timer classes and the Ducati Slovakia Cup. Every motorcycle fan who visited Slovakia’s only full-scale race track over the weekend surely left satisfied with the racing action.
