Panattoni Carboniacup Drivers to be Challenged by Slovakia Ring

Orechová Potôň, May 12, 2026 - After the first clash in Most, which took place at the beginning of April in weather that was not very warm or welcoming , a double-race follows at the track near Orechová Potôň at the Slovakia Ring. The Panattoni Carboniacup racing season is only at its beginning, and the Slovakia Ring comes second this time around, so the double points from Slovakia will come in very handy.

More than ninety drivers and machines will be looking forward to the spectators. The fast Slovak track thus promises an interesting spectacle. Let's take a look at who we can expect at the Slovakia Ring on May 14, 2026. Interesting news also awaits us, such as the appearance of LMP3, Nova Proto, Ultima, or Dallara F3 Turbo.

Group A: Touring and GT Cars

In Group A, drivers of touring and GT cars will compete:

  • A1 (up to 1600 cc): German driver Josef Turban will appear with an Audi 50.
  • A2 (up to 2000 cc): The starting grid will feature Petr Toušek and Milan Jirčík (BMW E30), Jiří Volena (Škoda Octavia Cup), Sára Zelenková (Mazda RX-8), Italian driver Riccardo Tarabelli (Renault Clio), and local driver Bohuš Šesták (Peugeot 306).
  • A3: We will see a dominance of BMW cars driven by Walter Forster, Emiljano Peter, Mathias Milker, Olaf Haeusner, Ivan Ivanov, and newcomer Matěj Hudeček. They will face Pavel Zeman in a Mazda RX-8.
  • A4: Christopf Drauch and Christian Drauch will battle with BMW M3 GTR and BMW M3 cars.
  • A5: Two Hungarian drivers will compete – Laszlo Keskeny (Audi S2) and Zoltán Nemeth (BMW 546i).
  • A7 (modified 2-liter cars): Competing will be Josef Dauerer (VW Scirocco), Petr Jeník (Škoda Fabia), Jiří Urban (Alfa Romeo Giulia), and Lukáš Urban (Corvette C6).
  • A8 (up to 3500 cc, modified): Miloš Merta (Lotus Exige) will fight for points, while three Praga R1 Turbos will be driven by Jiří Ruml, Roman Váca, and Alex Tlustý.
  • A9 (the most powerful class): Jan Mareček and Josef Hrdlička will arrive with Porsche 992 GT3 Cup cars, while Karl Werner, Karl Kaudela, Gaspár Csaba, and Oliver Michael will all compete in Porsche 991 Cup cars.
  • Additional participants: Also competing for points will be Matěj Hlavatý (Porsche Cayman GT4), Martin Toth (AMG GT3), Slávek Kárník (AMG GT4), J. M. Schuttrumpf from France (BMW M4 GT3), Jan Vojtko (BMW M4 GT4), and Tomáš Křížek (KTM GT4). Miroslav Konopka will bring an LMP3 prototype.

Group B: Production Cars

  • B1: Jan Bárta will compete with a Citroën C2.
  • B2 (up to 2000 cc): On the grid will be Michal Zimmer (Toyota Altezza), Jiří Jež (Mazda MX-5), and Václav Vaněček and Jiří Vaněček (Mazda RX-8).
  • B3 (up to 3000 cc): We will see Karel Bárta with a Ford Fiesta and Tomáš Křížek with a BMW 130i.
  • B4: Prepared cars include Lotus Exige (Radek Zimmer), Lotus Elise (Ondřej Frič), and Subaru Impreza STi (Tibor Horvath).
  • B5 (over 3500 cc): The most powerful category will feature Pavel Sovička (Porsche Cayman), András Kirschner (Porsche GT3RS), Robert Sedláček (Lotus Exige 430 Cup), and Petr Furch (AMG C63).

Group C: Prototypes

  • C1 (up to 1600 cc): Austrian drivers Martin Tanzer (Revolution) and Sven Kahnt (Pacemaker SK).
  • C2: Jiří Švec (Funyo SP05 EVO Peugeot) and Austrian Jürgen Kapeller (Radical SR3 RS).
  • C2+ (over 1800 cc): Wolfgang Luber (Ultima V8), András Kirschner (Radical SR8), Markus Hofer (Radical SR3 RS Turbo), and Austrian Rudolf Schöflinger (Nova Proto NP01).
  • C3 (weaker Caterhams): Tomáš Plch, Marek Bláha, and Jakub Kirchner.
  • C4 (more powerful versions): Austrian Friedrich Frantz and Miroslav Šimon with KTM X-Bow cars.

Group D: Formula Cars

  • D1 (up to 1400 cc): Tom Flemming and Markus Ameseder in Gloria C8F cars, along with Germans Niklas Baumgärtner, Fabián Baumgärtner, Günter Drinda, and Michael Reetz driving Formula BMW cars. Zdeněk Petan will also compete with an engine up to 1400 cc and is probably the oldest participant in the race.
  • D3 (1600 cc): Kay Braun (Formula ADAC) and Miroslav Čulík (Renault Campus).
  • D4 (2-liter class): Fighting for points will be Luboš Škarda, Petr Morávek, Radek Kroupa, and Petr Zelenka (all Formula Renault 2.0), along with Tomáš Novák in a Dallara F3.
  • D5 (original F4): Registered drivers include Marcel Kieser, Viktor Papp, Petr Štípek, Matyáš Vitver, David Nedbal, Nicolas Styk, and the trio Roman Roubíček, Roman Roubíček Jr., and Jakub Roubíček.
  • D6 & D7: German driver Tim Rädlein will appear in D6 with a modified formula car. In the most powerful D7 class (over 3500 cc), we will see Austrian Andreas Hasler with a large Dallara WS T12 formula car and Michal Malecky with an F3 Turbo.
