The Hill Climb Race at SLOVAKIA RING starts this weekend

Orechová Potôň, March 31, 2025 – Slovak motorsport kicks off the 2025 season again at the SLOVAKIA RING circuit: The Slovak Championship Hill Climb Race (MSR PAV) this weekend (April 5-6) will crown the first winners of the year.

The opening event of the MSR PAV – Hill Climb Race SLOVAKIA RING is being held for the sixth time since the anti-pandemic measures related to COVID-19 in 2020 moved the national championships to the compact environment of our permanent circuit.

This year, about 80 drivers will line up at the start. They will race a variety of well-known car models, including special vehicles – the so-called “flats”: for example, the Norma M20-FC prototype with an eight-cylinder atmospheric engine and its amazing sound. Among the open-cockpit prototypes, the Osella PA30 with ground-effect downforce will surely attract attention, as will the legendary Lucchini SN89, powered by a three-liter atmospheric six-cylinder engine. Of course, “formula” single-seaters will also be present. Hill Climb Race is famous for having a large number of classes and, therefore, many trophies to be awarded.

Drivers from Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovenia, and Austria will compete for points in several series: the Dynamax International Slovak Republic Hill Climb Championship (MMSR), the Toyota Yaris GR CUP (GR CUP), the Slovak Hill Climb Championship for Historic Cars (MSR HA), the Slovak Hill Climb Cup (SKP), the Autoclub Czech Republic Hill Climb Championship (MČR), the Autoclub Czech Republic Hill Climb Championship for Historic Cars (MČR HA), and the Autoclub Czech Trophy in Hill Climb Races (ČT).

The two-day races on the 3,200-meter-long track will follow the same schedule on both Saturday and Sunday: after two practice runs at 9:00 AM, two timed runs will take place at 1:00 PM. The total time of both runs will determine the final ranking for each day separately.

Spectator entry is free for stands A, B, and the paddock area.
